Obituary


Edward M. Srybny, Sr., age 85, better known as "Judgie", passed away December 13, 2012 on his farm.

Son of the late Walter and Sophia (Gusciora) Srybny, Edward was born July 25, 1927 on the family farm. He worked the farm his entire life, supplying fresh milk, eggs, turkeys, and vegetables to local residents in the early years, to growing produce for Kealey Farms of Salem, NH.

In 1986, Srybny Farms Stand opened, selling quality plants and vegetables for the Merrimac Valley and Southern New Hampshire. Edward "Judgie" is best known for growing the sweetest and freshest picked butter and sugar corn along with his tomatoes and other vegetables.

His greatest joy was his ten grandchildren, whom he taught to drive his tractors and cub cadets and how to grow and pick the crops. He will be deeply missed by his entire family.

As per Edward's wishes, Srybny Farms will continue to operate his farm.

He leaves his wife of forty-nine years, Kathleen H. (Kealey) Srybny, his children, Kathy A. Srybny-Bucci and her husband Peter Bucci of Haverhill, Edward M. Srybny, Jr. of Haverhill, Michael E. Srybny and his wife Deborah of Haverhill, Stacia H. Srybny-Wezesa and her husband John Wezesa of Haverhill and Peter W. Srybny and his wife Penny of Andover, his ten grandchildren, Nicholas, Michael, Peter, Sam, Jackson, Eddie, Cole, Kayla, Julianna and Ava.

There will be no calling hours. A private family service will take place under the direction of Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill.
