Haverhill: Edward A. Prince, 96, of the Bradford section and formerly of Ayers Village, Haverhill, died September 9, 2016 at Hannah Duston Healthcare Center with his loved ones by his side.

Born and raised in Haverhill, son of the late Arthur and Mary Blanche (Beauregard) Prince, he was a member of the Haverhill High School Class of 1938.
Mr. Prince served in the U.S Army Air Force during W.W.II as a Master Sergeant and was a recipient of the Good Conduct Medal, the World War II Victory Medal, the American Theatre Ribbon and the Asiatic Pacific Theatre Ribbon.

Following his honorable discharge from the service, he was employed at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard and attended Lowell Technical Institute where he received his Master Electrician's License.

Mr. Prince owned and operated Edward A. Prince Electric for many years and also served as the Assistant Wiring Inspector for the City of Haverhill.
He was a longtime member of the Haverhill Planning Board and served as the Captain of the Ayers Village Volunteer Fire Department. In his younger years he served as the Scout Master of the West Congregational Troop of the Boys Scouts of America. He was a member of Merrimack Lodge of Mason F & A.M., The Haverhill Lions and the Salem Post of the V.F.W.

An avid and accomplished woodworker, Mr. Prince enjoyed making model planes and model boats.

The husband of the late Marjorie (Emerson) Prince, he will be lovingly remembered, and sadly missed by two daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and Bernie Nangle of Haverhill, and Cheryl and Anthony Marcelonis of Newton, NH, four grandchildren, Jennifer Carracedo and her husband Tracy, Michelle Fatzinger and her husband Chris, Jeremy Marcelonis and Stephanie Marcelonis, two great grandchildren, Emerson and Lila Carracedo, and his longtime companion Barbara Gatchell of Bradford.

Relatives and friends are invite to attend Mr. Prince's Life Celebration to be held on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 from 3 to 6.p.m. at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill. His funeral service will follow at 6:15 in the funeral home. A private family burial service with Military Honors will be held in Hillside Cemetery at a later time.
