Haverhill: Edward T. Kelley, Jr. 79, of Haverhill, died peacefully on Sunday, February 26, 2023, at High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill.

Born, raised and educated in Haverhill and Bradford, son of the late Edward T. and Florence (Eldred) Kelley, Edward attended Sacred Hearts Grammar School and graduated from Haverhill High School, where he was a member of the Varsity Golf Team. He later received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Northeastern University and his Master's Degree in Computers and Education from Lesley College.

A U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, he served as a Petty Officer 2 ^nd Class aboard the USS Cascade from 1964 until 1968 and was a recipient of the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.

Edward worked for thirty years as a Woodworking Teacher at Methuen High School until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing with his father as a young man and later was an avid alpine skier and accomplished golfer. He was a member of the Civil War Heritage Foundation and the Sons of the Union Veterans and took part in several Civil War historical re-enactments

He will be sadly mourned and lovingly remembered by his wife of forty-six years, Mary P. (Canavan) Kelley, a sister, Virginia Kelley of the Bradford section of Haverhill and many friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours to be held on Thursday, March 2, 2023 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH. His funeral will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 o'clock Noon in Saint Anne's Church, Emerson Avenue, Hampstead, NH. Burial with Military Honors will follow at 2 p.m. in the State of New Hampshire Veterans' Cemetery, Boscawen, NH.
