Obituary

Boxford, MA: Edward "Eddie" Cordeiro, 64, of Boxford, passed away at home on Tuesday May 26, 2020.

Born in Lynn, MA, he was the son of the late Edward R. and Marion (Clapp) Cordeiro. Eddie was raised in Georgetown where he graduated from Georgetown High School, Class of 1974. For many years he owned and operated Eddie's Autobody on Route 97 in Groveland. His meticulous nature, hard work and genuine care for his customers created a reputation for the business that was well known in the region.

Eddie did not just repair cars for a living, he enjoyed everything about them. Restoring classic cars, going to car shows and different races were among some of his favorite things to do. He also liked to cheer on the Bruins and to visit Sedona Arizona, one of his favorite destinations. When he wasn't traveling, he loved to relax by the fishpond in the yard or tinker with projects around the house. But above everything else, Eddie loved his family.

He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of thirty-six years, Kim (MacLeod) Cordeiro, his son Eddie Cordeiro, Jr. of Boxford, and his grandson, Edward Cordeiro III of Chelmsford, MA, his mother-in-law, Marilyn MacLeod of Boxford, as well as several nephews and nieces.

Due to the National Health Emergency, funeral arrangements will be held at a later date under the direction of Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH.
