Haverhill: Edith M. "Eda" (Tosi) Ingerson, 89, formerly of Plaistow and Danville, NH and Tewksbury, MA, passed away peacefully at Wingate of Haverhill, surrounded by her family on October 23, 2018.

Born, raised and educated in Boston, daughter of the late Giuseppe and Mary (Nanni) Tosi, she graduated from her local high school.  She moved to Tewksbury as a young woman to raise her family of four daughters and was employed as a retail associate first at Kings Department Store and later at Ames and Bradlees Department Stores.

Edith "Edie" loved the theatre, her travels to Florida and Italy, watching Dancing With the Stars, playing bingo and trips to the casinos…all of them.

She is survived by her children Susan Kay & her husband George of Danville NH, Joanne Lewis & her husband Mark of Bradenton, Florida and Joyce Ingerson & her partner Kevin Fortin of Plaistow NH. She is also survived by her dear sister, Clara Signori of Canton and Kevin Fortin Jr. of Maine, her six grandchildren, four great grandchildren and many loving nieces & nephews. She was pre- deceased by her former husband Fred E. Ingerson, Jr. and their daughter Janet (Ingerson) McBride. She was the sister of the late Warren, Alfred & John Tosi, Rose Signori and Enes Maselli.

Edith's Life Celebration will be held on Friday, October 26, 2018 from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH.
