Haverhill, MA: Dwight G. Lewis, 59, of Plaistow, NH, died on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at High Pointe House in Haverhill, MA.

Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, the son of the late Gordon and Elaine (Ramsey) Lewis, the family soon moved to Lynn, MA where Dwight grew up and graduated from the Lynn Vocational and Technical Institute, Class of 1977.

He was a very accomplished diesel fuel injection technician, working at Vigor Diesel in Everett for many years. Dwight's skills went far beyond his training, there wasn't much he couldn't handle when it came to vehicles. He especially loved the Chevrolet Corvette, having owned a few through the years. In addition, he also enjoyed camping in the New Hampshire Lakes Region, and his two dogs Lexus and Teddy. Most of all Dwight loved his family. He lived life to its fullest, always the life of the party with his sense of humor and touching all who he met.

Dwight will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his only son Nicholas Dwight Lewis of Danvers, MA, brother Robert Lewis of Somerset, NH, sisters Deborah Cronin of Salisbury, Cheryl Thompson, grandchildren Hailie Gagnon and Madalyn Lewis, ex-wife Laurie (Collins) Lewis of Danvers, MA. He was predeceased by his sister Katherine Winslow, brothers Wes Lewis, Wade Lewis, and step-father Ralph Branscomb who was like a father to him.

Relatives and friends are invited to Mr. Lewis's Life Celebration on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 from 5 PM to 7 PM at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Plaistow, NH. Memorial service to follow at 7:15 PM in the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks for a donation in Dwight's memory to the American Cancer Society, 2 Commerce Dr #110, Bedford, NH 03110.
