East Kingston – Douglas W. Sanville, Sr., 81, passed away on Saturday December 23, 2023, at the Portsmouth Regional Hospital, following a period of failing health.

Born June 6, 1942, in Newport, VT he was the son of the late Raymond and Rosalie (Riches) Sanville.

Mr. Sanville worked in sales and retired from G&G Machine in Seabrook, NH. Throughout his life he enjoyed playing golf, candlepin bowling, and fishing.

Members of his family include his wife of 29 years Jane (Coffey) Sanville of East Kingston, NH; his children Lisa Sungy of Beverly, MA; Heidi Doherty and husband John of Derry, NH; Douglas Sanville, Jr. and wife Deb of Salem, MA; Cynthia Rumsey and husband Chip of Gray, ME; Derek Sanville of Rochester, NH; and Julie Clark of East Kingston, NH; eleven grandchildren and many great grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his two brothers John and Gary Sanville.

Friends and family may visit Wednesday January 3, 2024, from 2 PM – 4 PM at the Brookside Chapel and Funeral Home, 116 Main St. Plaistow, NH.

A memorial service will follow at 4:15PM in the chapel of the funeral home.
