Plaistow, NH: Douglas Earl Jenne, 69, of Burlington, NC, passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at Moses Cone Medical Center in Burling, NC.

Doug was born in Haverhill, MA, on March 4, 1947, son of the late Charles and Ruth (Warner,Duston) Jenne. He was raised in Plaistow, NH, graduated from Pollard School in Plaistow, and Sanborn Seminary in Kingston, NH. He was a United States Navy Veteran and served our country proudly for more than twenty years. He went on to become an engineer for AT&T and General Dynamics.

He is survived by his wife, Martina "Tina" Forbes, and his daughter, Carla Jenne; two step-daughters, Lisa Morton and Traci Tekely; grandchildren, Kendell and Olivia Tekely and Makenna Wilson, all of North Carolina. Also surviving are a brother, Robert Jenne and his wife MaryAnn; two sisters, Nancy McCormack and Kathleen Giacobbe of Plaistow, NH. Doug also is survived by a very special friend who was like a son to him, Scott Helms, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a Celebration of Life at 1 p.m. on Sunday, June 19 at the First Baptist Church, 122 Main Street, Plaistow, NH. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made in Doug's memory to the First Baptist Church, 122 Main Street, Plaistow, NH 03865, or to The Lamb's Chapel, 415 Roxboro Road, Haw River, NC 27258.
