Hampstead, NH: Dorothy L. (Conway) Roderick, 93, of Hampstead and formerly of Emerson Village and Plaistow, died on January 30, 2015 at Parkland Medical Center in Derry.
Born, raised, and educated in Vinyl Haven, ME, daughter of the late Ezra M. and Grace E. (Colburn) Conway, she graduated from Vinyl Haven High School as Valedictorian of her class. She also served as Class President all four years of high school.
Mrs. Roderick worked at Roderick Wholesale Florist until her retirement in 1989. She was later employed at the Hampstead Public Library from 1993 until her second retirement in 2002. She continued her work at the library as a volunteer for many years.
A former member of the White Shrine, Mrs. Roderick was also a former member and past Matron from 1977 to 1978 of the Fidelity Chapter #90. Mrs. Roderick was a member of the Hampstead Friends of the Library and served four times as President.
The widow of the late Carlton D. Roderick, she is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Stephen C. and Betsy Roderick of Newton, NH, her daughter, Pamela A. Rimes of Virginia, seven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends may call on Friday, February 6 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Route 121A, Plaistow, NH.
