Haverhill: Dorothea A. (Fanaras) Noyes, 84, of Haverhill and formerly of Hampstead and East Wakefield, NH, died Tuesday evening, April 20, 2021 at Penacook Place in Haverhill.
Born in Boston and raised and educated in Haverhill, and Bradford, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Stevenson) Fanaras. She attended Haverhill High School and first worked in the local shoe industry and at her father's Haverhill restaurant, The Monarch Diner. She was employed for thirty years as a much loved and asked for waitress at The Hawaiian Isle Chinese Restaurant in Plaistow, NH.
A longtime member of Sacred Hearts Parish of Bradford, Mrs. Noyes was a resident of Hampstead for thirty-seven years and East Wakefield, for fifteen years before moving back to Haverhill in 2014.
Devoted to her husband and children and large extended family, they have wonderful memories of her many baked delights as well as vacations and day trips to the beach. She also enjoyed playing bingo and trips to Foxwoods.
Predeceased in 2001 by her husband of forty-four years, Robert P. Noyes, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by three daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa A. and Thomas Frank of Brentwood, NH, Kelly M. and Carl Rullo of Sandown, NH and Susan R. and Jeff Gabbard of Zoe, Kentucky, a nephew who was like a son to her, Joseph Fanaras of Hudson, NH, a sister Angela Bickford, of Hudson, NH, a brother William Fanaras of Danvers, seven grandchildren, Roxanne, Thomas and Alexandria Frank, Anthony and Nicole Rullo and Jeffrey and Kristopher Gabbard, four great grandchildren, Olivia, Kaden, Shyne and Madilyn, and several nieces and nephews and extended family members. She was predeceased by a brother, Paul Fanaras in 2019.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday morning, April 23, 2021 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH. Her funeral service will follow at 11:45 a.m. in the funeral home and conclude with burial in Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill.
