Plaistow - Doris (Yates) Sullivan, 90, longtime resident of Plaistow, passed away with her beloved cat, Tippy, by her side.
Born April 24, 1931 in Newtown, Pennsylvania, daughter to the late Joseph and Caroline (Yates) Rouch. She was raised and educated in Newtown on the family farm and went on to become a caring registered nurse. She was the director of nursing and administrator for Stevens Hall, Whittier Rehabilitation and Pleasant View. Doris later retired from New Hale Hospital. She was also the District Rep for Avon for five years. Doris was also a member of the American Legion Post 34.
Doris enjoyed collecting all things antique, especially dishes and dolls, and had a special affinity for Beanie Babies as well. In her younger years, she enjoyed traveling to Rhode Island, Bahamas, Florida and visiting her hometown in Pennsylvania.
Doris was a devoted Mom and best friend to her children and Fur children. Her beloved cat, Tippy Jo, was by her side until the end.
Doris is survived by her son, Edward Sullivan, IV of Derry; three daughters, Joann Frazier of Seabrook, Cheryl A. Blinn and her husband, Randy of Plaistow and Velma A. Schadone and her husband, Anthony of Plaistow; seven grandchildren, Samantha Towler of England, Rachel Frazier of W. Hartford, Ct, Logan Brown of Plaistow, Edward Sullivan, V of Raymond, Jake Frazier of Danville, Stephanie Sullivan and Colleen Sullivan, both of Derry; seven Great-grandchildren, Ava, Anthony, Livy, Liam, Hanna, Rose and Lily. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her former husband and father to her children, Edward Sullivan, and four brothers, Joseph, John, Ted and Alfie.
Relatives and friends may call on Monday, December 20, 2021, from 5:00-7:00pm at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH. Her funeral service will begin at 7:00pm in the funeral home. Per the family's request, masks are required. Donations may be made to the New Hampshire SPCA, 104 Portsmouth Ave, Stratham, NH 03885.
