Haverhill: Doris F. (Usuriello) Donovan, 91, formerly of 500 Water St., died December 9, 2019 at Penacook Place in Haverhill, surrounded by her loving family, friends and staff.

Born in Haverhill, daughter of the late Julius and Florence (Terroux) Usuriello, she attended Haverhill public schools and Fugere School of Hairdressing. As a young woman, she worked as a hairdresser and later for Alco Electronics Co.

A longtime member of Saint John the Baptist Parish of Haverhill, Mrs. Donovan enjoyed trips to Foxwoods and Las Vegas, and dining out with her grandson.

The wife of the late Donald L. Donovan, who died in 1982, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by a daughter, Deanne Donovan and her partner, Aaron McCarter of Landers, CA, a son, Dennis J. Donovan and a daughter, Donna Prohaska, both of Florida, grandchildren, Dylan A. Drelick of Haverhill, Jesse Drelick of CA, Michelle Fitzwater of Florida, and Lynne Sammons of Texas, great grandchildren, Brady and Zack Sammons, a sister, Marilyn MacLeod and her daughter Kim Cordeiro of Boxford, and a niece, Bonnie Smith of Haverhill. She was also predeceased by her son, Donald L. Donovan, Jr. in 2008 and brother, Richard Usuriello who died in 2009.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday, December 16, 2019, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill. Due to inclement weather, her funeral service will be held on Tuesday morning at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
