Haverhill, MA: Doris M. (Daigneault) (Vermette) Champagne, of Haverhill and a former resident of Plaistow, NH from 1987 until 2007 died on May 3, 2016 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
Born in North Adams, MA, daughter of the late Alfred and Dora Daigneault, Mrs. Champagne moved to Haverhill at the age of 4 and graduated from Haverhill High School.
A member of St. Luke the Evangelist Parish at Holy Angels Church in Plaistow, Mrs. Champagne was employed as a data processor for Watts Regulator and Watts Technologies for many years.
She was predeceased by her husband, William P. Champagne in 2004, and is survived by two daughters, Linda Castano of Haverhill, and Elaine Lawrence and her husband Greg of Windham, NH, a sister, Rita Watkins of North Clarendon, VT, seven grandchildren, Michael Castano, Danielle Doherty, Eric Lawrence, Andrew Lawrence, Renee Lawrence, Mark Lawrence, and Nicole Lawrence, two great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four brothers, Joseph, Emile, Phillip, and Alfred, and a sister, Alice Johnson.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the Staff of The Intensive Care Unit of Blake 12 at Massachusetts General Hospital for the care, comfort, and support extended to Mrs. Champagne and her family.
