Plaistow, NH:  Donna M. (Stone) Kimball Hurst, 86, a former longtime resident of Plaistow, NH, died on March 25, 2018 at Pine Hill Assisted Living, Windham, NH.

Born in Haverhill, MA, the daughter of Hudson and Madoline (Mears) Stone, she was raised in Newton, MA and Haverhill, MA and graduated from Haverhill High School with the Class of 1949.  She worked for Harvard University, Haverhill National Bank, Destiny Publishers, Digital Equipment Corporation and as the Deputy Tax Collector of Plaistow.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Plaistow for over 60 years and served on several committees, including the Triangle Guild and Finance Committee. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed cruising, traveling, bird watching and doing Sudoku puzzles. She was also a huge fan of the Red Sox, Patriots and Miami Hurricanes. She also loved her Himalayan cats, "Buddy" and "Mitsi".

She was pre-deceased by her first husband, Chester F. Kimball, who died in 1979 and her second husband, Lee E. Hurst, Jr., who died in 2016.

She is survived by her children, Susan Roehm and husband Jeffrey of Nashua, NH, Jane Beach and husband Jeffery of Deerfield, NH, Steven Kimball and partner, Joseph Nichols of Reston, VA, and Julie Murphy and husband Thomas of Haverhill, MA. Sister Janett Lavender and husband Raymond Jr. of Danvers, MA, and brother–in-law George Kimball of Fryeburg, ME. Nine grandchildren, Michael Roehm and wife Laura, David Roehm and wife Danielle, Jennifer Seuss and husband Steven, Heather Holmes, USAF SSgt. Travis Albee and wife Hannah, Nathaniel Beach, Galen Beach and wife Kate, Sgt. Justin Murphy and wife Karrie, Jarred Murphy and girlfriend Bridget Connolly. Seven great grandchildren, Jake, Cole, Paige, Dylan, Harlynn, Patrick, Nathan and was looking forward to the birth of her eighth great grandchild, Lily. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was pre-deceased by her  sister Shirley Hayes and husband Ronald of Plaistow, brother-in-law Robert Kimball and wife Gloria, sister-in-law Donna Kimball, sister-in-law Marjorie (Kimball) Clark and husband George and brother-in-law Robert Hurst.

Relatives and friends may call on Saturday, March 31, 2018 , from 10:00am to 12:00pm at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH. A Funeral Service will follow at 12:30pm at First Baptist Church, 122 Main St. Plaistow, followed by a reception at the church.
