Haverhill: Donna R. (Burnham) Brunelle, 80, a resident of Haverhill most of her life, died peacefully on November 16, 2019 at the High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Amesbury, she was raised and educated in Haverhill by her mother and step-father, the late Arlene (Meister) (Burnham) Perino and the late Harold Perino, and was a member of the Haverhill High School Class of 1957.
Mrs. Brunelle was primarily a housewife and homemaker, who enjoyed raising her family of four children. As they entered school, she was employed as a cafeteria worker for several years at the former Saint Joseph School and later worked at Flowers by Louis and the Garden Pathe, flower shops in Haverhill.
A member of All Saints Parish of Haverhill and the former Saint Joseph Parish, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed baking and entertaining her family and friends. For many years she and her husband enjoyed camping throughout New Hampshire, Maine and Rhode Island, and most recently at the Danforth Bay Camping Resort in Freedom NH, and also enjoyed attending Cajun Festivals.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband of sixty years, Norman R. Brunelle, two daughters, Laurie J. Collins and her husband Rick of Haverhill, and Karen M. Sullivan of Haverhill, two sons, Norman R. Brunelle, Jr. of Haverhill and Scott A. Brunelle and his wife Patti of Georgetown, a brother Robert L. Burnham and his wife Mary of Haverhill, grandchildren, Rick Collins, Erin (Collins) Bodin, Bryan Collins, Matthew Collins, Julie Sullivan, Ellen Sullivan, John Scanlon and Jacqueline Scanlon, and three great grandchildren, Quinn Collins, Eamon Bodin and Emmett Bodin.
Relative and friends are invited to Mrs. Brunelle's Life Celebration to be held on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home with burial to follow in Saint Patrick's Cemetery, North Broadway, Haverhill. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
