Obituary

Hampstead, NH: Donald Edward Streeter 80, went home to the Lord on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Portsmouth Regional Hospital with his loving family by his side.

Born February 16, 1942 in Washington, D.C., son to the late Kenneth and Dorothy (Bagg) Streeter. Raised and educated in Silver Spring, Maryland. He earned his Bachelor's in Science at the University of Maryland. He later moved to Atkinson, NH where he resided after college for 38 years. He began his career at BAE Systems, and loved his work. He proudly worked administratively for aeronautical field engineers for 36 years.

Following his retirement in 2001, Donald began his hobby of genealogy, and learned of his great-grandfather who was a Civil War General. This started his joy of Civil War era history, he loved learning about the civil war and started a Facebook group chronicling Civil War Monuments in NH. In his younger years he loved motorcycle rides, always in search of a new ice cream spot with his favorite passenger, his loving wife. He was most proud of having climbed all of New Hampshire's 4000 footers and spending many years on his Goldwing Motorcycle.

Donald will be remembered most for his sense of humor, his ability to fix almost anything and his love of Memories Ice Cream in Kingston. Above all, spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren was most important.

Donald is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Carolyn (Merritt) Streeter; son Glenn Streeter of Boulder, CO; daughter, Elisabeth Reed of Deerfield and Cynthia Gregory and her husband, Charles of Ardmore, PA; three grandchildren, Kerry Gregory and his wife, Maria, Alexandria Gregory and Gretchen Fichera; and four beloved great-grandchildren, Charlie, Brayden, Axel and Gianna.

Relatives and friends are invited to Donald's Funeral Service at Calvary Bible Church gymnasium, to be held on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at 11:00am.
