Newton, NH: Donald J. Munroe, 85, of Newton, died October 29, 2025, at the Rockingham County Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Brentwood. Born in Somerville, MA, son of the late Douglas and Connie (DiJulia) Munroe, he attended local schools and served in the U.S. Army from 1958 until 1962. A long-time resident of Arizona, Donald worked as a contractor for most of his life before returning to the New England area several years ago. He enjoyed gardening and playing poker.

Predeceased by his loving companion of many years, Rosemary McKee, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his brother and sister-in-law Richard and Mary Ann Munroe of Newton, his brother Robert Munroe of Epping, and his sister Claire Smith of Newton, and several nieces and nephews.

Donald's graveside service will be held privately for family and friends and under the direction of Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home of Plaistow.
