Plaistow, NH: Donald L. George, 61, of Plaistow, NH, died peacefully on Wednesday, November 4, 2020, at High Pointe House, in Haverhill, MA, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Methuen, MA, he was the son of Adelaide (Nichols) George, and the late Francis George. Don grew up in Kingston, NH and attended Sanborn Regional High School. For many, many years he worked in construction at some of the best area companies like Petis Construction and DSC Construction. For a time, he helped form his own firm, Homes by George and Sons, where they developed Esther Estates in Newton, NH.

Don loved sports, especially cheering on the Boston teams like the Bruins, Red Sox, and Patriots, but his favorite was NASCAR. He had attended many local races and traveled to other well-known venues and toured the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte, NC. He also enjoyed fishing and as a teenager was a competition motocross racer. However, being a devoted husband and father is what Don cherished most in life.

He will be sadly missed and forever held in the heart of his high school sweetheart and wife of thirty-six years, Sondi (Faxon) George, of Plaistow, NH, daughter, Krystle George of Kingston, NH, brothers, Gary George of Seabrook, NH, and Richard George of Amesbury, MA.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to calling hours from 5 pm to 7 pm on Wednesday, November 11, 2020, at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH, following the guidelines of the State of New Hampshire for social distancing and the wearing of face masks in the funeral home at all times. His Graveside Funeral Service will begin at 11 am on Thursday, November 12, 2020, in Highland Cemetery, 35 Highland St, Newton, NH.
