Dolores G. (Fabrizio) Stack, 97, a resident of Haverhill, MA, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, December 15, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Michael Stack Sr., who predeceased her in 2015.
Born in Beacon, NY, on September 11, 1927, Dolores was the daughter of the late Guiseppe and Genevieve (Stella) Fabrizio. She was raised and educated in New York before settling in Massachusetts. Dolores worked as a quality inspector at Malden Mills in Methuen, where her keen eye and dedication were highly valued.
Dolores had a deep appreciation for the arts and music, with a special fondness for classical guitar. A gifted linguist, she was fluent in several languages, including Spanish, Polish, and Latin. She was an avid reader, a talented seamstress, and a skilled cook who delighted her family with her creations. Above all, Dolores cherished her role as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, bringing warmth, wisdom, and love to her family.
A longtime parishioner of All Saints Parish in Haverhill, Dolores lived her faith with quiet strength and grace.
Dolores is survived by her loving children: Michael Stack Jr. and his wife Maria of Plaistow, NH, Christene Thurston and her husband Bruce of Rexford, NY, Mark Stack Sr. and his wife Mona of Haverhill, daughter Karen, Janet Canney of Haverhill, Diane Shikrallah of Windham, NH, Dana Stack and his partner Shirley Adams of Merrimac, MA, and Donna Marie Stack of Haverhill. She also leaves behind her sister, RoseMarie Lawson, 12 cherished grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren and many dear nieces, nephews, and extended family.
She was predeceased by her six brothers, five sisters, and son-in-law Kenneth Shikrallah.
In honoring Dolores's wishes, her funeral service and interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
