Stoughton, MA: Doa V. Nguyen, 65, of Stoughton and former longtime resident of Haverhill, died on January 25, 2014 at Boston Medical Center.
Born in Bac Ninh, Vietnam, son of the late Van Van and Di T. Nguyen, he graduated from Phu Tho College in Vietnam. He served in the Army of South Vietnam before becoming a teacher. He settled in the United States in 1985 and worked as a machinist for MKS Instruments in Andover for many years.
A member of St. James Parish, he enjoyed carpentry and working around his home.
He is survived by his wife, Gien Hoang, three sons and daughters-in-law, Hoang and Linh Nguyen of Stoughton, Anhtuan and Trang Nguyen of Spring, TX, and Diep and Huynh Nguyen of Tampa, FL, a daughter and son-in-law, Tram and Phuoc Doan of North Hollywood, CA, a brother, Nghia Nguyen of Spring, TX, a sister, Ly Nguyen of Burbank, CA, a brother, Duc Nguyen of Randolph, MA, six grandchildren, one aunt, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Relatives and friends may call on Thursday, January 30, 2014 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill, MA. His funeral will begin on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 10 a.m. from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. James Church, 185 Winter Street, Haverhill, MA.
