Obituary

Dianne M. (Holden) Ward, age 61, died unexpectedly on Friday, May 24, 2024 at her home. She was the wife of Glenn Ward with whom she shared 39 years of marriage.

Dianne and Glenn were high school sweethearts where they both grew up in Medford, Massachusetts. They were each other's best friend and soulmate. They loved to travel together. She was an incredibly talented photographer with such an eye for beauty, even the most mundane item she found out in the world she was able to capture in photos amazingly. There wasn't a destination that was too far if there was a great photo opportunity. They traveled the world from the Caribbean, to Norway, to Russia and more. Her family loved when Dianne had her camera at all the family gatherings to capture the love and laughter among them in photographs that will always be treasured. She loved her Rat Terrier dogs and treated them like kings. It was always her goal to retire and move to New Hampshire, and she recently accomplished her goal. She was so happy spending her days decorating her new home, going on photography trips with her friend Amy, and loved now living near her friend Heidi whom she and Glenn would frequently go out on double dates with.

Her family was always her pride and joy. She was an amazing Mother to her two children, Michael and Meghan.  She was loving, supportive and always there for both of them. She loved being a grandmother to her two grandchildren, Grace and Carmella (Ella). She had so much fun with them and loved to spoil them. They loved their Nana and were always so excited to see her.

Dianne is survived by her husband, Glenn, her children Michael Ward and his partner Brittany McMann of Virginia Beach, VA and Meghan Erricolo and her husband James of Brentwood, NH, her two grandchildren, Grace Ward, Carmella (Ella) Erricolo and a new grandson expected in November 2024, her mother Roni Carlson Healy (and the late Arthur Carlson), her father Dudley (Skip) Holden, and her siblings, Laura DeAngelo, Dawn Reim Counsell, Lisa May Howard, Susan Donaldson, Rick Hunt, Dianne Hunt Stanley and Andy Hunt.

Dianne loved her dogs. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to any of the local animal shelters in her honor. Her funeral service will be held privately.
