Plaistow, NH:  Diane M. (Dustin) Yelle, 60 a resident of Plaistow since 1994, and formerly of Methuen and Lawrence, MA, died from natural causes at her home on Wednesday, following a long illness.

Born in Methuen, MA, daughter of Rosemary (Mack) Dustin and the late Marlow Dustin, she was raised and educated in Lawrence. Growing up as a member of Saint Patrick's Parish, she graduated from Saint Mary's High School with the Class of 1980 and attended Northern Essex Community College.

Diane was a proud letter carrier, employed by the U.S. Postal Service in Lawrence for twenty-five years, before illness forced her retirement. An avid cook, she enjoyed trips to the beach, tending to her tropical fish, and volunteering time at the Nevins Farm in Methuen. A loving and faithful wife, mother and grandmother, she was especially devoted to her grandson Dylan and her canine friend Toby.

Diane will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband of thirty-two years, Kerry M. Yelle, two daughters, Courtney E. Yelle and her fiancé, John Connolly of Portsmouth, and Kerri A. Yelle and her fiancé Ryan Kennedy of Newmarket,  her mother, Rosemary Dustin of Florida, three sisters, Barbara Dustin of Florida, Donna McGee of Westminster, MA, and Mary Santos of Florida, and a grandson, Dylan Mahaffey, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her son, Shawn P. Mahaffey, her brother Richard Dustin, and sister Rhonda Goulet.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Diane's Life Celebration to be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Plaistow, NH. Her funeral will be held at 11 a.m. in the funeral home on Wednesday, January 25, 2023. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to the MSPCA at Nevins Farm, 400 Broadway, Methuen, MA.
