Haverhill: Diane C. (Fournier) Chapman, 69, a native and lifelong resident of Haverhill, died Monday, January 7, 2019 at Academy Manor in Andover.

The daughter of the late Normand and Lorraine (Boulanger) Fournier, she attended Saint Joseph Grammar School and graduated from Saint James High School. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, Summa Cum Laude from Boston College.

A dedicated and kind nurse, Mrs. Chapman was employed at Prescott House in North Andover, and previously for seven years at Lawrence General Hospital, with three of those years as the Director of the Intensive Care Unit. She also worked for ten years for Heritage Nursing Care Center and for several years she was employed by Genesys Health System until illness forced her retirement in 2009.

A sweet and devoted wife and mother, daughter and sister, Diane was an avid reader and fan of the Boston Red Sox. She also enjoyed cooking and taking care of her large extended family.

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her loving husband of forty-six years, Thomas R. Chapman, a son William D. Chapman of Haverhill, a sister Debbie Picard of Sandown, NH, three brothers, Michael Fournier of Methuen, Joseph Fournier of Merrimac, and James Fournier of Atkinson, NH, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her son Benjamin T. Chapman in 2007 and her brother Normand Fournier in 2015.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Diane's Calling Hours and Life Celebration to be held on Thursday, January 10, 2019 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH. Her funeral will begin on Friday morning at 8:45 a.m. from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in All Saints Church, 120 Bellevue Avenue, Haverhill.
