Danville, NH: Dennis N. Francoeur, Jr., 63, a resident of Danville since 1996, died peacefully on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington, MA, with his family by his side.
Born in Amesbury, MA son of Dennis N and E. Kathleen (Twombly) Francoeur, he was raised in Newton, NH, and graduated from Sanborn Regional High School with the Class of 1979. Dennis went on to Northeastern University and received his Bachelor's Degree in Toxicology.
Dennis was employed as an Industrial Hygienist since 2022 at HETI Services and previously worked for twenty-five years with his brother Roger at RPF Environmental. An avid outdoorsman and advocate for wildlife and the environment, he was a member and Past President of the Safety Council of New England, and member and past state chairman of Ducks Unlimited.
A very supportive parent, Dennis was involved in all of his children's sporting endeavors, and enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing in New Hampshire and Maine. He was also an avid golfer and looked forward to summer vacations camping and spending time with family.
Dennis will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his devoted wife of forty years, Lisa (Nason) Francoeur, his daughter Marcella N. Francoeur and her boyfriend Shannon O'Neil of Portsmouth, NH, two sons, Dennis N. Francoeur III, and his wife Rachel of Seabrook, and Hunter N. Francoeur and his fiancé Katherine Corey of Danville, his parents Dennis and Kathy Francoeur of The Villages, Florida, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Roger P. and Kimberlea Francoeur of Nova Scotia, and Kenneth and Susannah Francoeur of Raymond, NH a sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Mike Shattuck of Marshville , NC, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and uncles.
A celebration of Dennis' life will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2025, from 4 to 7 PM at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH. The family requests that memorial donations be made in Dennis' honor to: Ducks Unlimited, One Waterfowl Way, Memphis, TN 38120-2351.
