Nashua, NH: Deborah A. (Beckford) Dumas, 65, of Nashua, NH, died on September 26, 2019, at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua, NH after succumbing to her courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis. She spent her last days surrounded by those who love her.
Born in Haverhill, MA, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Barbara (Massie) Beckford and a graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1971.
Deborah worked at the family store, Don's Market in Hampstead, as the bookkeeper for forty-two years. She was always smiling and took pleasure in the simple things in life. She enjoyed countless trips to Mohegan Sun to play the slot machines and shop with her winnings. Deborah celebrated life's joyous events through her creation of treasured cross stitch keepsakes. Her family was the most important thing to her. She would do anything for anyone and was an inspiration to all who knew her.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband of almost forty-six years, Wayne Dumas, daughter Jeralyn DeHoyos and her husband Jason of Nashua, NH, sisters Diane Tarpy and her husband James of Bradford, MA, Donna Hargraves of Hampstead, NH, Denise Young and her husband David of Sandown, NH, Dorianne Schuyler and her husband Peter of Lancaster, PA, brother Douglas Beckford of Haverhill, MA, grandchildren Cole, Avery, Kayla, and Nikolas and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her brother David Beckford.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to calling hours from 5PM to 8 PM on Tuesday October 1, 2019, at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH. Her funeral will begin on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at 9am from the funeral home, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am at All Saints Church, 120 Bellevue Ave., Haverhill, MA. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Hilldale Ave., Haverhill, MA.
