July 14, 1960 – December 27, 2025
Haverhill: David E. Langlois, 65, a native and lifelong resident of Haverhill, died December 27, 2025, at Lawrence General Hospital. David was the son of the late Richard and Barbara (St. Onge) Langlois. He attended local schools and graduated from Haverhill High School with the Class of 1978 and attended Northern Essex Community College.
David was well known in the Haverhill area as the co-owner and President of Smith's Tavern, Inc, located on Essex Street for generations. Through his business he was a long-time supporter of the Haverhill Santa Claus Parade and local co-ed softball teams. A devoted husband, father and grandfather, he most enjoyed spending time with his grandson. He found great pleasure in tending his vegetable garden, weekly trips to Old Orchard Beach, grilling for his family and watching old-time television reruns of MASH, Two and A Half Men ("The Boys", he called them), and The Andy Griffith Show. He was also an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan.
David will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his loving wife whom he met forty-three years ago and married thirty-six years, Denise (Paquette) Langlois, his two daughters, Sarah Marie McVicker and her husband Zachary of Haverhill, and Katie Lynne Langlois of Haverhill, his grandson and apple of eye and little buddy, Jason McVicker, his two brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Anne Langlois of Haverhill and Richard and Jacqueline Langlois of South Carolina, an uncle, John St. Onge of Atkinson, NH and several nephews and cousins.
