It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dear husband, dad, grandfather, and brother. He touched the lives of so many and leaves behind a legacy that will be cherished forever.
As a husband, he was a true partner and a beacon of love. His unwavering commitment and devotion to his spouse were an inspiration to all who witnessed their bond. Through the ups and downs of life, they stood together, facing every challenge hand in hand. Their love was a shining example of what a marriage should be, and his absence leaves a void that can never be filled.
As a dad, he was a guiding light and a source of strength. His unconditional love and unwavering support shaped the lives of his children in profound ways. He instilled in them values of compassion, integrity, and perseverance, teaching them to embrace life's challenges with grace and determination. His guidance and wisdom will forever be treasured, and his absence will be deeply felt.
As a grandfather, he was the epitome of love, wisdom, and guidance. His warm smile and gentle nature brought joy to our hearts, and his stories of the past filled our minds with wonder. He was always there to lend a listening ear, offer words of encouragement, and provide unwavering support. His love for his grandchildren was immeasurable, and his presence will be deeply missed.
As a brother, he was a pillar of strength and a source of inspiration. His unwavering loyalty and bond with his siblings were unbreakable. Through thick and thin, he stood by their side, offering a comforting presence and a shoulder to lean on. He brought laughter and joy to every family gathering, creating memories that will be cherished forever.
Our beloved husband, dad, grandfather, and brother, will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and the love he shared with all who knew him. His legacy lives on in the hearts of those he leaves behind, and we find solace in knowing that his spirit will forever be with us.
In life, he was a skilled carpenter for over fifty years. He was a lover of golf and enjoyed watching the New England Patriots.
May he rest in eternal peace, knowing that his love will continue to guide and inspire us for generations to come.

Besides his wife Edith, he is survived by his children James Jackson and his partner George Farrel of Peabody, MA and Robert Jackson and his wife Korie of Colorado, his grandchildren David Jackson, Andrea Faneuil, Erika Debrosky, Ashley Lange, Joshua Jackson and Isabella Jackson, his 8 great grandchildren, and his siblings Paul Jackson, Phillip Jackson and his wife Claire, Michael Jackson and his wife Gina, and his sisters-in-law Elise Jackson, Patricia Jackson, and Barbara Jackson.
He was sadly predeceased by his son David Jackson and his siblings Earl Jackson, Richard Jackson, and John (Jack) Jackson.
Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Monday, April 29, 2024 from 10am – 12pm. A graveside service will follow at Maplewood cemetery in Plaistow.
