Our hearts are heavy as we announce the passing of our beloved father, David Jackson Sr., age 69, on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at St. Joseph hospital surrounded by his loving family. David was born April 5, 1954 in Somerville, MA. to David and Edith (Anzalone) Jackson.

David is survived by his children, David Jackson, Jr., and daughter Erika DeBrosky and husband Adam. His 7 grandchildren, Jeffrey, Dante, Collin, Ayden, Liam, Weston and Lennox, one great granddaughter Nova, his brothers Robert Jackson and wife Kori , James Jackson and life partner George Farrell, his best friends, Kevin Spencer, Rich Oljey and Kenny Eudenbach, and many more.  He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

David proudly served his country in the United States Army where he was a 60 gunner during the Vietnam war. He was a true sports enthusiast and music lover. He enjoyed nothing more than bonding with his family over a game of football or basketball. David was a passionate fan of the Raiders and could often be found cheering them on from the comfort of his living room. David in his younger years was a true athlete! His love for basketball and baseball was evident to all who knew him.  In his later years, he played softball. One of his fondest memories was being able to play with his son David on the same team.  David had an eclectic taste in music. He loved his 70's and 80's classic rock but … could also relax to some Toni Braxton.  He passed that love on to his "Lumpy" Erika, his beloved daughter. Taking her to concerts and listening to music as he cooked breakfast, dinner or anytime he had a chance to play a cd.  David once got a job at a concert venue just so he could be able to go concerts and get paid for it.  His passion for these two things lives on in his grandchildren.  He also had a passion for food! Whether it was eating or creating it. He will be extremely missed by all who know him.

Family and friends are invited to visiting hours to be held from 4-7pm on Friday, June 30, 2023 at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home 116 Main St. Plaistow, NH. Interment will be held privately.
