Darlene Ann Jusko, 57, of Merrimac, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully after courageously battling cancer on June 16th, 2026, surrounded by friends and family at the Kaplan Family Hospice House, Danvers, MA.

Born in Haverhill, Massachusetts, on May 30, 1969, Darlene began what would become an inarguably beautiful and iconic life. She was the cherished daughter of Evenie Cormier, and the late Robert Jusko, who preceded her in death.

She graduated from Whittier Tech High School in 1987, received her Cosmetology license, and began her long career in the hair industry. She spent the better part of the next 39 years as a dedicated hair stylist known throughout the community for her disarming charm, fashionable style, and boundless sense of humor. Darlene loved nothing more than spending time with her family and friends, sharing her love of food and music by going to countless restaurants and concerts, and snuggling up with her cat Stanley. She enjoyed laying out at the beach anytime the sun was shining across the coastal towns of New England, with a particular love for Kennebunkport, Maine.

Darlene is survived by her mother Evenie Cormier and her partner John Malbon of Haverhill, MA; her greatest supporter, and beloved partner in life, Robert Irvine; her daughters, the lights of her life: Danielle Hrubo of North Hampton, NH; Sarah Low and her husband Zac of Exeter, NH; and her dearest friend, whom she too loved like a daughter, Chase Mroz and her husband Perry of Haverhill, MA; her siblings: Robert Jusko and his wife Gail of Danville, NH; Kevin Jusko of Haverhill, MA; Brian Jusko of Hampstead, NH; Lisa Rousseau and her Husband Steve of Fort Meyers, FL; Keith Jusko of Haverhill, MA; Kristie Ingalls and her Husband Kevin of Merrimack, NH; and her nieces and nephews: Jennifer, Nicholas, Crystal, Kevin, Lauren, Brady, Cooper, and Myah.

Darlene will be forever remembered for her unconditional love, stability, generosity, the warmth of her company, and the light she carried within her wherever she went. Her contagious laughter and ability to convey her thoughts with a mere glance will remain cherished memories to everyone who knew her.

Family and friends are kindly invited to calling hours on Friday June 26th, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, at Brookside Chapel and Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Plaistow, New Hampshire, and are encouraged to wear pink, our beloved Darlene’s favorite color.
