Obituary


Dante J. Pagnottaro, 93 a lifelong resident of Haverhill, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2015 at Holy Family Hospital in Haverhill.

He was born on July 12, 1921 in Haverhill, the son of the late Achille and Antonetta (Porro) Pagnottaro. He was raised in Haverhill and educated at the Beverly School for the Deaf in Beverly, MA.

Dante worked for 40 years in the Haverhill area as a shoe assembler for the Allen Shoe Company.

Dante enjoyed working with his hands. He liked to tend to his garden, and was known for growing his tomatoes. He was also very talented as a wood worker. He loved spending time with his family and never missed attending a family event. He was very well known around the Haverhill area, especially by his friends at the Lasting Room on Washington Street. He was very proud to be a member of the Lawrence Deaf Club for many years.

He was predeceased by his sister, Emma Pagnottaro and his brothers; Antonio and Mario Pagnottaro. He is survived by his nephews; Alexander Pagnottaro and his wife, Dianna of Kingston, NH, Gary Pagnottaro of Haverhill, MA and Jay Tarzia and his wife, Carla of East Hampstead, NH. His grand-nieces; Caitlyn & Nicole Pagnottaro and Natalie Tarzia. His grand-nephews; Christopher & Thomas Pagnottaro and Jimmy & Andrew Tarzia. He was loved dearly by numerous other cousins who also survive him.

Family and friends are invited to attend Dante's Life Celebration on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 from 4-8 PM at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill, MA. 01832.
Funeral services will take place at the funeral home on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at 9:30 AM. Burial will follow the services in Linwood Cemetery on John Ward Ave in Haverhill.
