Atkinson, NH: Daniel G. Hodgerney, 63, of Atkinson and a former resident of Salem, NH, for twenty-four years, died peacefully Tuesday evening, March 7, 2023 at Granite VNA Hospice House in Concord, NH.

Born and raised in Haverhill, Massachusetts, son of the late Fabian and Elaine (Emery) Hodgerney, he attended local schools and graduated from Haverhill High School with the Class of 1978. Dan was a member of Local # 550 of the Pipefitters Union and was employed as a sprinkler system technician by Excel Fire Protection. He also took part in the "Big Dig" project in Boston

A former resident of Haverhill before moving to Salem, NH in 1997, he was a member of All Saints Parish and the former Saint Joseph Parish and member of the parish choir. He enjoyed working in his yard and trips to the Maine Coast, the Kancamagus Highway region of Northern NH and his most recent trip to Disney World with his family. An avid reader, especially of the daily and Sunday newspapers, he was a longtime student of history and enjoyed watching old Westerns and World War Two documentaries on television.

Predeceased in 2021 by his loving wife, Pamela A. (Binns) Hodgerney, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by three daughters Morgan M. Cyr and her husband, Kenneth of Derry, NH, Danielle A. Bourque and her husband Josh, of Atkinson, and Tara J. Botolino of Rochester, NH, a son Daniel Valenti, two brothers Dale Hodgerney and Gary Hodgerney, three sisters, Donna Hodgerney, Debbie Bashaw, and Kim Girardian, grandchildren, Kendra "Koda", Colin, Arya, Talya, Avelena, Jadelyn, Natalie and Gabriella, Daylon and Dominic,  and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother, Fabian "Mac" Hodgerney, and step-daughter Erin A. Clohecy.

Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours to be held on Sunday, March 12, 2023 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill, MA. His funeral will begin on Monday morning, March 13, at 9 a.m. from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in All Saints Church.
