Sandown, NH: Daniel J. Bergeron, 86, of Sandown, died on Friday January 31, 2020.

Born in Haverhill, MA, and raised in Plaistow, NH, he was the beloved son of the late Arthur and Anna (Sullivan) Bergeron. Dan graduated from St. James High School, Class of 1952, and proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. After serving nine years he was honorably discharged. He worked as a machinist for several years while also serving as a volunteer fireman for Plaistow Fire Department. Dan then went to work as a Letter Carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Exeter, NH. Dan and his wife Carol enjoyed many wonderful years camping with their children and grandchildren at Terrace Pines in Center Ossipee, NH. They spent their retirement years living in Morgan, VT and then Highgate, VT. A heart of gold and a kind soul he was loved by all who knew him.

He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of sixty-five years, Carol Ann (Everett) Bergeron, sons, John Bergeron and his wife Faye of Bradford, MA, Thomas Bergeron and his wife Lisa of Enosburg Falls, VT, daughters, Susan Seibel and her husband Mark of Sanford, ME, Lee Ann Bray and her husband Todd of Venice, FL, Mary-Ellen Raymond and her husband Steve of East Hampstead, NH, sister, Bernadine Fitzgerald of Plaistow, NH, cousin Carleen Stokes of Port Ritchie, FL, fifteen grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and several nephews and nieces, sadly missed by his dear friends, Linda Dennis, Henry Tannatt, and Penny Thomas. Dan was predeceased by his brother Anthony Bergeron, brother-in-law John Fitzgerald, dear friends Arthur Dennis, and Kay Tannatt. The family extends special thanks to Amedisys Visiting Nurses Association and Colonial Foxden Assisted Living in Sandown, NH.
