Atkinson, NH:  Daniel J. Barros, 74, of Atkinson,  NH, died on June 14, 2021 at the High Pointe House in Haverhill, MA.

Born in Boston, MA, the son of the late Leontine J. and Anna (Pina) Barros, he was raised and educated in Medford, MA and attended Medford High School.  Daniel served in the U. S. Army as a Specialist 4 during the Vietnam War from August 8, 1966 until January 24, 1967 and served on active duty from July 7, 1971 until November 13, 1972.  He received the National Defense Service Medal.  He worked as a Job Placement Specialist and was the Owner and CEO of the former Barros Associates, an employment recruiting and consulting company.

He enjoyed the ocean and visiting the Caribbean Islands.  He was very devoted to his grandchildren, Edward Lukas, Jr. and his wife, Molly and Ryleigh Lukas and a great grandchild, Teagan Lukas.

Daniel will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of forty-nine years, Margaret "Peggy" (Sudano) Barros; a daughter, Vivian Lukas of Plaistow; two grandchildren and a great grandchild.  He was predeceased in June of 2012 by a son-in-law, Edward Lukas, Sr. and a brother, Leo Barros.

Relatives and friends may call on Friday, June 18, 2021, from 4 to 7 PM at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH.  A Funeral Service will follow at 7:15 PM in the funeral home followed by the rendering of Military Honors by the U. S. Army.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Massachusetts General Hospital, Center for Cancer Care @ Exeter Hospital, 5 Alumni Drive, Exeter, NH 03833 Attention:  Community Relations and Advancement.
