IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Cynthia Jean
Winter
February 24, 1965 – August 5, 2022
We are sad to announce the passing of Cynthia "Cindy" Jean Winter at the age of 57 after a five-year battle with cancer. Cindy passed away on August 5, 2022, surrounded by her family and loved ones.
Cindy was born in Haverhill, Massachusetts, daughter to the late Ernest and Frances Audrey (Carey) Winter and lived most of her life on Harriman Rd in Plaistow, NH. She was part of the graduating class of 1984 from Timberlane Regional High School. She pursued a career in technology manufacturing, working for companies such as Raytheon, Beckwood LLC and Collins Aerospace. In most recent years she also went back to school and received a certificate in massage therapy.
Cindy loved camping, concerts, and casinos. Even though some of us thought she might have a problem with her love of slot machines, her real passion in life was her family. Whether it was shopping with her sisters, dinners Friday nights, early morning rides to the beach or just being a great aunt to her many nieces and nephews.
Cindy was happy because she was with her family, but that happiness didn't compare to her absolute favorite roles in life as Mom and Gram. She was selflessly loving, devoted and dedicated to her daughter Cassandra. Cassandra was the light of Cindy's life until the birth of her granddaughter, Mary-Jane. Cindy enjoyed spoiling her granddaughter with every pink and sparkly thing she could find and was thankful for every minute she got to spend her. We know that Cindy will continue to watch over Cassandra, MaryJane, and her soon to be grandson, Jason Michael Cotio Jr.
Cindy is survived by her daughter, Cassandra Marie Conrad-Winter and her partner, Jason Michael Coito; granddaughter, MaryJane Marie Coito and soon to be grandson, Jason Michael Coito Jr; brothers and sisters in-law, Ernest and his wife, Debby Winter of Plaistow, NH, Stephen and his wife, Veronica Winter of Plaistow, NH; sisters and brothers in-law, Cheryl Meehan and her husband, Michael of Jefferson, NH, Coleen Gervais and her husband, Gerard of Rochester, NH, Cathy Fowler and her husband, Carl of Methuen, MA and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, August 14, 2022, from 2pm-5pm at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH. Her funeral service will follow at 5:15 p.m. in the funeral home. The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, you consider donating to The American Cancer Society or Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
