"Cindy" Viens
April 22, 1959 – August 15, 2023
Haverhill: Cynthia J. "Cindy" Viens, 64, a native and lifelong resident of Haverhill, died August 15, 2023 at the Veteran's Administration Medical Center in West Roxbury, following a long illness. She was the daughter of Ernest Viens and the late Jeannette (Picard) Viens and was educated in the Haverhill School System. A member of the Haverhill High School Class of 1977, Cindy enlisted in the U. S. Air Force and served from November of 1977 until September of 1980 and was stationed at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in North Carolina. Following her honorable discharge, she attended Northern Essex Community College.
A member of Sacred Hearts Parish of Bradford, Cindy worked as a secretary for local companies. She was a devoted mother to her two sons and enjoyed playing cribbage and 45's and watching police procedural television shows.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her two sons, Jovaun Viens and Logan Viens, both of Haverhill, her father, Ernest E. Viens of Merrimac, a brother, Ernest E. Viens, Jr., and sisters Patricia M. Sweeney and Cheryl E. Harrison; grandchildren, Annabelle Viens and Lejeya (Viens) Adams and great-grand-daughter, Lunaria Adams; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. In addition to her mother, Jeannette, she was predeceased by her sister, Debbie Viens-Koretko.
A private graveside service will be held in Saint Joseph Cemetery with Military Honors rendered by the U.S. Air Force. Please use the funeral home website to send a message of condolence to the family or to share a cherished memory.
