IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Craig J.
Starr
January 22, 1951 – January 17, 2023
Danville, NH: Craig J. Starr, 71, a resident of Danville for the past twenty years and formerly of Atkinson, died January 17, 2023 in Methuen, MA.
Born in Watertown, New York, son of the late John and Blanche (Howell) Starr, he graduated from Watertown High School and later received his Bachelor's Degree in Music from Hobart College in 1973 and his Master's Degree from The New England Conservatory of Music in 1981.
A professional musician in his younger years, he performed with several well-known Jazz musicians. He later worked as a software engineer at Team EDA in Manchester.
An accomplished musician, Craig enjoyed Classical and Jazz music and played piano, guitar and the French horn. A member of the Timberlane Regional Community Orchestra, he also taught guitar and piano to local students. He was a passionate reader and also enjoyed writing and impersonating several personalities with his quirky humor. Craig also enjoyed photography and was devoted to his canine friends.
He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Donna (Brienza) Starr, a loving daughter, Carly Starr of Danville, two step-sons and their wives, Richard and Rachel Belliveau, of Portland, OR and Dennis and Jenny Belliveau of Nottingham, NH, a sister Nancy Cronk of Summerville, SC, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
At Craig's request, there will be no services. The family suggests that a memorial donation to Granite State Dog Recovery, 7 Dartmouth St., Hooksett, NH, would be in keeping with his wishes. Arrangements are under the direction of Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH.
