Obituary

Craig Michael Arling was born on February 10, 1976 to John Stuart Arling and Leslie Joan Arling. Craig passed away unexpectedly on May 11, 2026. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Craig was a devoted husband to his wife, MaryLuz, and a loving father to his sons, Ryden and Trennon. His family was the center of his world and the greatest joy and accomplishment of his life. His love for them was evident in everything he did.

Craig’s dedication to his boys showed daily through play, teaching, encouragement, and unwavering support. He never missed one of Ryden’s basketball games or practices, spending countless hours coaching, cheering him on, and celebrating every accomplishment. With Trennon, Craig could often be found drawing endlessly, playing games, and supporting his many interests with patience, enthusiasm, and love. The bond he shared with his children was undeniable, and the memories he created with them will live on forever.

Craig attended Bryant University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting. Though he achieved much throughout his life, nothing mattered more to him than being a husband and father. He was a selfless and caring husband who was always there for MaryLuz in every possible way.

Craig had a generous heart and was always willing to help others, whether it was assisting a stranger with a flat tire or towing a boat to safety. His kindness, compassion, and willingness to lend a hand touched many lives.

Known for his wonderful sense of humor and his ability to talk to anyone, Craig made people feel comfortable, welcomed, and valued. He loved deeply and wholeheartedly, and his absence leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of his family and friends.

Craig is survived by his wife, MaryLuz Arling; his beloved sons, Ryden and Trennon Arling; his parents, John and Leslie Arling; his brother, Kevin Arling; and many cousins, aunts, uncles, brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Craig will be greatly missed, but his legacy of love, kindness, laughter, and devotion will live on through his children and all those whose lives he touched.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, May 21, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 22, at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the GoFundMe campaign created to support MaryLuz, Ryden and Trennon as they navigate the difficult road ahead.
