Fremont, NH: Constance A. "Connie" (Montebianchi) (Beaulieu) (Fiala) Lawson, 84, of Fremont, and formerly of Atkinson, NH and Haverhill, MA, died March 7, 2021, after being stricken at her home.
Born in Haverhill, daughter of the late Joseph and Natalie (Belrick) Montebianchi, she graduated from Saint James High School with the Class of 1954, and received her Associates Degree in Secretarial Science from Merrimack College.
A house wife and homemaker when her sons were younger, she later worked as a book-keeper for Betsy A. Conte CPA. She also was a co-owner of Seabrook Coin-Op Laundromat, and operated Bohema Imports of Atkinson. She and her second husband, George, were also involved in real estate speculation in Haverhill several years ago.
A resident of Atkinson from 1975 until 2006, Connie was a longtime member of Saint Luke the Evangelist Parish of Plaistow as well as a member of the Women's Guild of the Parish. She moved to Fremont in 2006 and was a board member of the Spruce Hill Condo Association. She was a caring and nurturing woman and cared for two of her late husbands as well as her late son during their longtime illnesses. She enjoyed gardening and yardwork, tending her gardens and creating rock gardens around her homes and was known for her large collection of garden gnomes that she referred to as "her people". She was a New England Patriots fan and enjoyed traveling to parts of South America and across Europe. Devoted to her family, she also maintained long friendships with many of her classmates from grammar school and high school.
She was predeceased by her first husband Brian R. Beaulieu in 1980, her second husband George Fiala in 1996, her third husband Robert A. Lawson in 2019, and her son John T. Beaulieu in 2003, and her brother Joseph "Skip" Montebianchi.
Connie will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by four sons and daughters-in-law; Robert M. and Amanda Beaulieu of Newbury, VT, Peter B. and Rene Beaulieu of Plaistow, NH, Paul R. and Lorraine Beaulieu of Plaistow and David W. and Nora Beaulieu of Morrow, Ohio, her step children; Sonya Shupak of Miller Place, NY, Eva Phelan of Lawrence, MA, Henry Fiala of Manchester, NH, and Peter J. Lawson of Bradford, MA, her sister Paula Montebianchi and partner Rita Treble of Hilton Head, SC, also thirteen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Connie's Life Celebration to be held on Friday, March 12, 2021, from 3 to 6 p.m. at Brookside Chapel and Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH. Because of the restrictions in numbers due to social distancing, attendance at her funeral service on Saturday at 10 a.m. will be for family only. Those who wish may view the service via live streaming with a link attached to her online obituary on the funeral home website. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in her name be made to the Alzheimers Association of Massachusetts and New Hampshire to honor her late husband, Robert or to the VHL Alliance to honor her late husband, Brian and her son, John.
