Claire J. (Munroe) Smith, 78, a resident of Brentwood, NH passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at Rockingham County Nursing Center. She was the beloved wife of the late John Smith.

She was born in Somerville, MA on June 13, 1947 and was the daughter of the late Douglas and Constance (Di Julia) Munroe. Claire was educated in Newton, NH and was a graduate of Sanborn Seminary, Class of 1965. She was a skilled bookkeeper and was employed at Daddy’s Junky Music Store for over twenty-five years. Claire enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Claire is survived by her brother Richard “Dick” Munroe and his wife MaryAnn of Newton, NH. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.

She was sadly predeceased by her siblings Beverly Brown, Barbara Dembrowski, Donald Munroe, and Douglas Munroe.

Family and friends are invited to attend her graveside service on Saturday, May 23 at 10am at Willow Grove Cemetery in Newton, NH.
