Groveland: Claire C.  (Lapierre) Douphinette, 80, of Groveland, died peacefully on Sunday February 19, 2017 at Country Center for Health and Rehabilitation, Newburyport.

Born, raised and educated in Haverhill, the daughter of the late Oscar and Anna (Demers) Lapierre, she attended Saint Joseph Grammar School and Haverhill High School. She was first employed at National Wood Heel Co. and DAVCO, and finally at the bakery of Market Basket at the Lincoln Plaza in Haverhill.

A member of Sacred Hearts Parish of Bradford, Mrs. Douphinette was an accomplished cook, who also enjoyed playing cards. The center of her life was her husband, children and large extended family that she managed to keep happy in her warm and loving home.

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband Alfred Douphinette, four sons and a daughter-in-law, Ronald D. Douphinette of Raymond, NH, Russell J. Douphinette of Groveland, Alfred L. and Diana Douphinette of Groveland, Scott A. Douphinette of Sandown, NH, a daughter and son-in-law, Anna and Wayne Moreau of Groveland, also nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters, Anna Langlois, Irene Rogers, Doris Gunyen and Elsie Ward and a brother, Oscar Lapierre.

Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH. Her funeral will begin on Wednesday at 9a. m. from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10a. m. in Sacred Hearts Church, South Main St.,Bradford.
