Claire J. LaChance, age 84 of Atkinson, passed away on Wednesday March 28, 2012 at the Elliot Hospital in Manchester, surrounded by her family, in her daughter's arms.



She was born on January 2, 1928 in Lawrence, MA the daughter of William and Exilia (Paris) Landry.She was raised and educated in Lawrence.



Claire enjoyed sewing and baking. She was a very talented woman who enjoyed oil painting.



She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years in 2006, Julian R. LaChance.Her grandson, Joel LaChance also predeceased her.She is survived by her daughter, Debra A. Chaff and her husband William of Hampstead, her son, Robert W. LaChance and his wife Donna of Alton, her brother, Donald Landry and his wife Irene of Atkinson, grandchildren; Krista Hill, Jessica Hudgins and Kevin Chaff, great-grandchildren; Anthony, Jack & Isabella Hudgins and Sophia Hill.Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive her.



Calling hours are Sunday April 1, 2012 from 4 -8 PM at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home 116 Main Street in Plaistow.Funeral Services will be held on Monday April 2, 2012 at 10:30 AM at the funeral home.Cremation will take place and burial will be at the convenience of the family.
