Haverhill: Claire P. (LaPerriere) King, 93, a former longtime resident of Trumbull Avenue in Haverhill, died Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at Hannah Duston Healthcare Center.

A native and lifelong resident of Haverhill, Mrs. King was the daughter of the late Leon and Bertha (Tremblay) LaPerriere. She attended Saint Joseph Grammar School and was a member of the Saint James High School Class of 1947.

Mrs. King was first employed as a bookkeeper at Scott's Jewelers in Haverhill, and later, the former Mitchell's Department Store in Haverhill and retired from Windows Within after ten years of service as the bookkeeper.

A member of All Saints Parish and the former Saint Joseph Parish of Haverhill, she was an avid reader and enjoyed walking for exercise and shopping for enjoyment.

Predeceased in 2017 by her husband of sixty-six years, Robert H. King, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her son and daughter-in-law, Richard A. and Laura King of Haverhill, two grandchildren Robert R. King of Haverhill and Julie Belkus of Utah a great brand-daughter Camille Belkus, a sister-in-law, Marlene (Demers) LaPerriere and several nieces and nephews. She was predewceased by her brother Leon LaPerriere.
