Atkinson: Claire E. (Lawyer) Brandy, 85, a former longtime resident of Atkinson, died Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Colonial Poplin Nursing Home in Fremont.

Born, raised and educated in Salem, NH, daughter of the late St.Clair and Mary Ann (Vodakes) Lawyer, she graduated from Woodbury High School. Mrs. Brandy was employed for many years as a legal secretary for the Law Office of Atty. John Macoul of Salem. A resident of Atkinson for over twenty years, Mrs. Brandy also lived at Fox Den in Sandown, NH for several years until her recent move to Fremont.

Devoted to her grandchildren, Mrs. Brandy enjoyed spending time at Cape Cod, and the beaches of Northern Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Joe Kamberalis of Danville and their children, Danielle Kamberalis, Courtney Kamberalis, Amy Maglia and Crystal Kamberalis, a daughter, Robin Serratore of Plaistow and her children Shane Brandy and his wife Kristina, and Jennifer Phillips and her husband Kevin, a brother Herbert Lawyer of Indianna, two sisters, Lois Wendell of Atkinson and Joan Rapisarda of Sanbornton and several great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her grandson, Michael Serratore, her former husband Albert J. Brandy and her longtime loving companion, Frederick  Byrd.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Sunday, May 9, 2021 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH, under the guidelines for social distancing and the wearing of masks. Her funeral service will take place on Monday, May 10, at 10 a.m. in the funeral home with burial to follow in Atkinson Cemetery.
