Christopher Matthew "Chris" Honor, age 22 of Plaistow, passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2015 following a long struggle with drug addiction.
He was born on August 5, 1993 in Exeter, NH the son of Matthew A. and Amanda (Lawler) Honor. He was raised and educated in both Plaistow and Salem, NH. He graduated from Salem High School, Class of 2011.
Chris was an avid sports enthusiast. He enjoyed watching baseball, football, hockey and horse racing. He had aspirations to be a professional sports broadcaster. Chris was an assistant broadcaster for the 2008 season of the NH Fisher Cats in Manchester, NH. He was a great conversationalist, who had aspirations to do great things in life.
Chris' family was very important to him. He was always there if they needed him. He was greatly loved by his family, and will be deeply missed by them.
Chris is survived by his mother, Amanda Jordan of Salem, NH. His father, Matthew A. Honor of Windham, NH. His brothers; Brett M. Honor, Camaren J. Jordan and Nicholas R. Jordan, all of Salem, NH and Aidan Honor and Jacob Honor, both of Windham, NH. His maternal grandparents; Joanne Lawler and partner, Richard Platts of Plaistow, NH and Edmund Lawler of Salem, NH. His paternal grandparents; Norma Wolfson of Ellenton, FL and George W. Honor, Jr. and wife, Trisha of Groveland, MA. Numerous aunts, uncles and cousins also survive him. Christopher was pre-deceased by his girlfriend, Courtney A. Griffin in 2014.
Friends and family are invited to attend Christopher's Life Celebration on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 from 4-8 PM at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street (Rt. 121A), Plaistow, NH 03865. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at 10:30 AM at First Baptist Church, 122 Main Street, Plaistow, NH 03865. Burial will take place at a later date, at the convenience of the family.
