Concord, NH:Cherie E. (Hibbard) Silva, 79, passed away on May 26, 2012 at the Concord Hospice House.



Born in Stockton, CA, she was the daughter of the late Earl Ray and Lucille (Pearce) Hibbard. She was raised in Oregon but considered Gloucester, MA her home as that is where she met her husband and raised her family.



Mrs. Silva was an avid painter, artist and dog lover.She enjoyed traveling.She loved spending time with her family and will always be remembered by them as a kind and loving mother, wife and grandmother.Even though she was blind for ten years, her heightened senses allowed her to see more than most with perfect vision.She relied deeply on her strong sense of faith and Christian beliefs.



She was predeceased by her husband Donald L. Silva, Sr. in 1995.Survivors include four sons Donald L. Silva Jr. and his wife Dawn of Lake Wales, FL, Wayne Silva of Tampa, FL, Michael Silva of Everett, MA, Jesse Silva and his wife Michelle of Lake Wales, FL; two daughters Lynnette Ruest and her husband Ray of St. Petersburg, FL and Charlotte Silva of Concord, NH; one brother Roger Hibbard of Lacey, WA; nine grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.



A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 31, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Beachbrook Cemetery in Gloucester, MA.
