Obituary

Billerica, MA: Celene Baia (Desouza) Kilty, 65, passed away on July 13, 2018 at home in Billerica surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Goiania-GO, Brazil, the daughter of the late Zacarias Pereira Baia and Maria de Souza Baia, Celene graduated high school in Brazil and attended college there as well before first coming to the United States in 1997. She returned to Brazil for a few years before moving back to the U.S. for good in 2000.

Celene enjoyed cooking, quilting, crocheting, sewing, and gardening.  Calla Lilies and peonies were her favorite flower. She also loved to travel, going on several cruises. For ten years she adored her two Shih Tzus, Tandor and Kiara.

Predeceased by her husband of thirteen years William Kilty, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her daughter Dannieli Keziah Bahia Desouza, sister Maria Auxiliadora Pittas, Henry Thompson (ex son inlaw), her friends Dyego Gallieta, Marcia Cristina Bueno and Francisco Krzmienszki, whom she treated like her own children.  Predeceased by her daughter Danielle Baia Tavares and sister Etelvina Baia Silveira.
