Obituary

Haverhill:Cecile (Poulin) Morin, 92, a native and lifelong resident of Haverhill, died peacefully on Sunday, October 4, 2020 at her home, surrounded by family.

The daughter of the late Joseph A. and Odelie (Lagasse) Poulin, she attended Saint Joseph Grammar School and graduated from Haverhill High School with the Class of 1945 and was a lifelong and active member of All Saints Parish and the former Saint Joseph Parish. She was employed as a tester at Western Electric Co. for fifteen years, retiring to help care for her grandchildren.

A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Mrs. Morin enjoyed spending her time with her family. She enjoyed bowling as a member of the Western Electric Co. and Saint Joseph Bowling Leagues. She was an accomplished artist and was proficient at knitting and crocheting. She enjoyed flowers and tended her flower gardens with great care and in later life looked forward to the time that she spent with her husband and family at their summer home at Granny Kent Pond in Shapleigh, Maine. She was a positive influence on her family and her favorite saying was: "Everything always happens for the best."

Predeceased in February of 2019 by her beloved husband of sixty-six years, Emile A. Morin, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by three daughters and sons-in-law,  Andrea M. and Robert DeSpirito of Atkinson, NH, Phyllis M. and Kenneth McTighe of Haverhill, and Marie C. and Ronald Barton of Haverhill, seven grandchildren, Laura  Motta of NYC, Stefanie C. Motta and her husband Wesley Nugteren of Minneapolis, MN, Gregory DeSpirito of Atkinson, NH, Lindsey (DeSpirito) Fava and her husband Matthew of Suffield, CT, Lisa Barton and Christine Barton, both of Haverhill, two great grandchildren, Josephine Nugteren and Avery Fava, a sister Annette Schloth of Atkinson, and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at 10 a.m. in All Saints Church, 120 Bellevue Avenue, Haverhill, MA, using the guidelines set forth by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts requiring social distancing and the wearing of masks. Temperatures must be taken at the entrance of the church for those attending the Mass as well as the recording of names and telephone numbers. Burial will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to The Ste. Vincent de Paul Society of All Saints Parish, 120 Bellevue Avenue, Haverhill, MA 01832.
