Haverhill, MA:  Cecile E. (Cyr) Lessard, 89, of Haverhill and formerly of Plaistow, NH and Lady Lake, FL, died on January 18, 2019 at the Hannah Duston Healthcare Center, Haverhill.

Born in Grand Isle, ME, the daughter of the late Henry and Winnie (Thibodeau) Cyr, she was raised and educated in Van Buren, ME.  Mrs. Lessard worked as a presser for local dry cleaners and for the One-Hour Martinizing Dry Cleaners, Plaistow, NH.

She was a member of All Saints Parish, Haverhill and the Ladies Auxiliary of AmVets Post #147, formerly serving as the Sergeant at Arms.  She volunteered at the Manchester Veterans Administration Center and the Bedford VA Hospital as well as local nursing homes.  In her leisure time, Mrs. Lessard enjoyed knitting, crocheting and crafts, especially making teddy bears.

The wife of the late Joseph M. A. Lessard who died on June 10, 2007, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her son, Robert Rodrigue and his wife, Sheila of Lewiston, ME; nieces, Diane Breidel, Jeannine Cormier, Susan Griffin and Sandra Douglas and a nephew, Donald Cyr.  She was pre-deceased by a brother, Henry Cyr, Jr., a sister, Esther Gregoire and a nephew, Ernest Cormier.

Relatives and friends may call on Friday, January 25, 2019, from 1 to 3 PM at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill, MA.  A Funeral Service will follow at 3:15 PM in the funeral home.  Burial will take place at a later date in the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Augusta, ME.
