Haverhill: Cecile M. (Cormier) Huberdeau, 91, a lifelong resident of Haverhill, died April 3, 2020 at Penacook Place in Haverhill.
Born in Merrimac, daughter of the late Francis and Eva (Ratte) Cormier, she was raised and educated in Haverhill, attending Saint Joseph Grammar School and graduating Haverhill High School with the Class of 1946. Primarily a housewife and homemaker for most of her life, Mrs. Huberdeau worked at Phaneuf Insurance Agency, as a young woman and later at Mal's Department Store.
A lifelong member of All Saint's Parish of Haverhill and the former Saint Joseph Parish, Mrs. Huberdeau enjoyed art, playing piano, gardening and working in her yard. She was an excellent cook, and was devoted to maintaining a warm, loving and inviting home for her husband, children, and grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Gerard E. Huberdeau in 2015, and her daughter Nancy A. Huberdeau, in 2017, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her two sons, Paul G. Huberdeau and his wife Nancy of Framingham, and Ronald F. Huberdeau of Haverhill, two daughters, Anne M. Huberdeau and her longtime companion Lawrence Mendes of Brighton, and Karen J. Gaiero and her husband David of Bradford, a brother Raymond Cormier of Milwaukee, WI, three sisters, Laurette Arel, Evenie Jusko, and Marie Huberdeau, all of Haverhill, five grandchildren, Kristen Huberdeau, David G. Gaiero, Mark T. Gaiero, Matthew C. Huberdeau and Stephen Huberdeau, nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Due to the National Health Emergency, the Graveside Service in Saint Joseph Cemetery is private and under the direction of Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, Haverhill. A memorial Mass will be scheduled in All Saints Church, Haverhill, at a later date. To send a message of condolence to the family, please visit www.berubecomeau.com . The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Penacook Place for exemplary care and comfort given to Mrs. Huberdeau during her residency there as well as during her final illness. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Mrs. Huberdeau's name be made to the Patient Activity Fund of Penacook Place, 150 Water St. Haverhill, MA 01830.
