Lowell, MA:  Cecile Chagnon died October 12, 2020 at Willow Manor in Lowell.  She is at peace now after a long period of declining health.

Cecile was born in Lawrence on August 23, 1947 to the late Arthur and Angeline (Doucette) Chagnon.  She attended St. Anne's and Lawrence High School.  After working at Lawrence Maid and Compugraphic, she enlisted in the Navy and proudly served 10 years as a VAST maintenance technician, leaving as an AT1 Petty Officer.  After the service, she worked at Gould Modicon/Schneider Electric as a test technician until her retirement.  She lived most of her life in Lawrence, then in Salem and Sandown, NH, and most recently in Tewksbury and Willow Manor in Lowell.

Cee loved her Red Sox, particularly David Ortiz, and never missed a game on TV.  She enjoyed movies, word puzzles, Judy Garland, Dancing with the Stars, our family cookouts, and talking to her friend, Nita every night on Skype.  Cee's highlight of the year was buying Christmas presents for her nieces and nephews, and then her great nieces and nephews.

She is survived by brothers, Frank Chagnon and wife, Brenda of Salem, Ray Chagnon and partner, Marieanne Carter of Sandown, Paul Chagnon and wife, Lorraine of Raymond, Joe Chagnon and wife, Doreen of Sandown, sister, Mary Chagnon of Kingston, sister-in-law, Evelyn Chagnon of Hampstead, brother-in-law, George Dupee of Gainesville, FL, her best friend of 47 years, Nita Swiers Gore and her husband, Charlie of Amherst, OH, many nieces, nephews, and cousins, her niece, Kim who helped keep her spirits up, and her beloved dog Papi who gave her joy these last 10 years.

Cecile was predeceased by brother, Arthur Chagnon, brother, Peter Chagnon and sister, Doris Dupee.

Cee was funny, generous, stubborn, loved her large family and will be greatly missed.
